This year we will be joining the nation in celebration of Her Majesty The Queen; the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service.

This once in a lifetime event is the perfect opportunity for bringing together friends, neighbours and communities in joint celebration – especially with the extra Bank Holidays we are all looking forward to!

If you are planning a get together why not make it all the more meaningful by choosing to fundraise for patient care here at St Luke’s whilst you celebrate?

There are so many ways you could raise money while celebrating and having fun…please contact our community team on 01606 555811 or if you need any help or support and in the meantime here are a few ideas to help inspire you:

Time for Tea for the Jubilee

An afternoon tea party is the perfect excuse to get together with friends, family or colleagues and have some fun, knowing that every penny you raise will help support patient care.

Street Party

Why not get together with your neighbours and host a traditional street party and request donations to attend.

70 for 70 challenge

Why not challenge yourself to achieve 70 of something, one for each year, and be sponsored for doing so. If you are looking for an energetic challenge perhaps you could run, walk, ride or swim 70 miles. Or if you prefer quieter activities perhaps you could read 70 books or bake and sell 70 cakes. Is there a bad habit that you could give up for 70 days and collect sponsorship for doing so? This could be your opportunity to give up chocolate, coffee or smoking. Click here to find out more about our challenge.

Whether it’s sharing a cuppa with a neighbour on the doorstep or you are planning a bigger bash in your street, school, community group or workplace we are here to help you every step of the way. However you decide to celebrate, please get in touch with our Community team today!
