Can you Survive the Wild?
Do you see yourself (or do you like the idea of being) a bit like Bear Grylls?
This is an exhilarating and uplifting outdoor experience and a fantastic way, we think, to raise money for our lovely Hospice.
Under the watchful eye of trained experts, you will be encouraged and empowered to take on a series of challenges specifically designed to take you outside your comfort zone.
Held in the Lake District, you will spend a packed day abseiling into a quarry, canyoning, cliff jumping, scrambling and a Tyrolean Zipwire. Not only that, you will need to navigate yourselves out of each “checkpoint” and onto the next one with some trekking in between!
This will challenge you both physically and mentally and after 8-9 hours you will head to the campsite overnight and will cook your own dinner on camp stoves as a team. After breakfast the next morning you will head home, exhausted and a little achey we expect, but with a great feeling of achievement.
This is a great event to help improve self confidence, motivation and teamwork.
You do not need to be strong as an ox to do this challenge – a positive attitude and sense of humour are far more important. You will be in a team of St Luke’s supporters and expert guides will be of course, on hand, the whole time. All safety equipment, wetsuits, and tents are included. All you need to supply is your sleeping bag and mat.
We ask you to pay a £50 non refundable registration fee and raise a minimum of £295 before you “go wild!”. If you’re worried about the fundraising, we have some earning opportunities to help you reach your target.
