14/11/2020 - 25/11/2020 All Day
We have launched our new Overseas Challenge for next year – Nepal Trek and Community Project which will take place 14th – 25th November 2020.
First 2 days after arrival in Kathmandu
These will be spent at a non profit organisation which offers services to terminally ill patients and their families. Typical tasks you will be involved with include, re painting rooms, improving kitchen or bathroom facilities, gardening and general maintenance.
The next 5 days….
These will be spent trekking in the stunning Annapurna area of Nepal where you will emerse yourself in the local culture, whilst enjoying views of the snowy peaks of the Annapurnas. The highlight will be the panoramic sunrise views which unfold from Poon Hill (3400), the highest point on the trek. Staying in quaint locally-owned teahouses during the trek is also a fantastic opportunity to experience the incredible hospitality of the local people.
The positive impact this challenge (in fact all of our challenges!) will have on our hospice and for those taking part is amazing. The funds raised make such a difference to those going through the toughest period of their lives & enable the hospice to provide the support needed. As a challenge participant you will get such a feeling of accomplishment – and stories to tell your children, grandchildren, friends and family for years to come.
