A very important part of grieving is remembering. Remembering the life that was lived, the love that was shared; feeling the love; feeling the sadness.
We live in a time that does not give us many opportunities for remembering. Although much of remembering is very private and personal, there is also a need within us and a value in occasionally sharing this time with other people. It can help us to understand that we are not alone and many others are remembering also.
Each year, the staff at St Luke’s Hospice hold a Light Up a Life service, in memory of your loved ones or as a gift in honour of a friend or relation. Your donation allows a light to shine on our tree. The lights continue to shine for your loved ones until Twelfth Night on the Hospice tree.
All services will be held outside, regardless of the weather, so please do wrap up warmly and bring an umbrella in case of rain.
The name of your loved one is entered in the Book of Memories and you receive a Light up a Life card with the name of the person(s) to be honoured.
If you would like more information on Light up a Life please contact Nicola Jepson on 01606 555684. You may also be interested in the service held in Crewe on 5 December.
