Employees at specialist agricultural, fuel and distribution business NWF Group plc, braved rain, mud and obstacles in this year’s Tough Mudder Challenge at Cholmondeley Castle and raised money for St Luke’s in the process.
The 50 strong team were brought together through the Group’s ‘wellbeing at work’ scheme. It aims to encourage staff to participate in activities with colleagues from other areas of the business. The company has been a big supporter of the Hospice in recent years and asked staff to raise funds through JustGiving.
NWF has raised over £4,900 through generous donations, with more coming in. Chief Executive, Richard Whiting said: “We are so proud of the team. Their fundraising efforts will benefit a fantastic local cause close to our hearts.”
The 12-mile obstacle course has become a favourite with companies looking to raise funds and engage with their employees. Our Corporate Partnerships manager Steven Cook would like the opportunity to talk to more businesses about the value of corporate fundraising:
“Staff challenges are fantastic ways for companies to work with us and to raise valuable funds. They are a great way to form lasting bonds as a workforce and to create positive morale.”
