Love St Luke'sOur Love St Luke’s campaign has come to an end and we are delighted to announce it has been worth over £18,000 for the Hospice.

From holding buckets, to selling cakes, to knitting hearts to wearing something red, our wonderful supporters certainly showed St Luke’s a lot of love throughout February.

Why your support is so important

The Hospice continues to be in a very financially challenging time so one of the main objectives of the Love St Luke’s campaign was to remind people in our local community that we are here and that, as a charity, we rely on the kind donations and fundraising activities to continue providing our services.

How you helped us

Bucket Collections

Supporters in NorthwichWe called for help from our loyal supporters, volunteers and our own staff to give up three hours of their time and they dually obliged – over 160 of them in fact, including children, dogs and Luke the Bear! Collections took place over three days across eight towns and villages and raised an incredible £8,314.28.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated and shared their own personal stories with us about what the Hospice means to them.

Go Red for a Bed

The idea of Go Red for a Bed was for corporate supporters and schools to get involved by setting themselves a fundraising target of £763 by wearing red on Valentine’s Day and holding cake and sweets sales to raise money; reaching this target would pay for a patient to receive 24 hours of care here at the Hospice.Air Products Staff Go Red

We had a fantastic response with over £4,000 being raised by local businesses and schools! Thank you to everyone who got involved.

Bags of Love

Our charity shops are in urgent need of resalable goods so we wanted to encourage people to donate good quality clothing, shoes and accessories. Our refurbished route master bus visited local businesses and acted as a ‘donation station’ by collecting an incredible 189 bags and two pieces of furniture! Thank you to everyone who had a ‘clear-out’ and filled a bag of love.

Lotto Love

Our lottery is our biggest source of income and we are always looking to welcome new players. At only £1 a week players can be in with a chance of winning £1,500 plus one of 58 other cash prizes. We successfully recruited 60 new players during February which is worth over £3,000 a year to the Hospice – thank you to everyone who signed up!

A heartfelt thank you

From everyone at St Luke’s, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered and promoted our campaign. Without you, it would not have been the success it was and we hope everyone enjoyed playing their part in Love St Luke’s – same again next year?

We still need your support throughout the year

There are lots of ways you can show your support to St Luke’s all year round. From dedicating some time to help as a volunteer, to shopping in one of our charity shops, to setting up a regular donation or playing our lottery to signing up to one of our events; any amount you donate to St Luke’s goes towards helping us to raise money for patient care.
