St Luke’s Christmas Bubble Rush took place at Marbury Park on the 6th December, with over 400 participants attending the event which has raised in total £12,500 for St Luke’s.

The bubble snow covered Marbury Park, with families from all over Cheshire taking part in the 5k run in aid of St Luke’s Hospice. Over 400 Santa’s, elves, reindeers sported the Christmas Bubble Rush T-shirts making their way through waves of bubbles. The atmosphere was filled with delight and laughter from both children and adults enjoying the 5ft blast of white glossy bubbles.

Jane Thompson, Head of Event Fundraising said, “Thank you to everyone who joined in with our Hospice Christmas Bubble Rush. Regardless of the wet weather our supporters still had a fabulous time playing around in the bubbles, which included children and adults.”

Following on from the success of the event, St Luke’s will be re-launching the much anticipated and popular Bubble Rush. Last summer 2,000 people took part in the UK’s first Bubble Rush in partnership with East Cheshire Hospice. Thanks to its runaway success hospices all over the country have been holding their own bubble events! Children and adults alike love the atmosphere and of course the different coloured bubbles along the route.

On Saturday 14th May Bubble Rush is back for St Luke’s and St Luke’s plan to make it better than ever! Register in one of three different waves, ensuring you and your friends can easily run together.

St Luke’s Hospice needs to raise over £8,600 a day to ensure vital care and services can be provided to people in mid and south Cheshire.
