Staff at Sainsbury’s in Hartford have collectively raised a fantastic £371 for St Luke’s Hospice by hosting a Heroes and Villains event in store on Friday 18th September.
Superheroes such as Batman and Ironman teamed up with Pirates and Bank Robbers to encourage customers to take part in fun games and a raffle. Hospice Mascot Luke the Bear even made an appearance bringing cheer and joy to everyone.
Rachael Clarke store supervisor said “The fundraising event was a huge success with staff and customers getting involved and donating. St Luke’s is a vital part of our community and we are extremely proud to be supporting the Hospice. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who donated and also to all the staff who dressed up.”
Mark Porter Corporate and Community Fundraiser said “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Sainsbury’s in Hartford. Everyone put in 100% into the event and made a fantastic effort with their costumes. The money raised will go towards Hospice care within the community.”
