November is generally recognised now as Movember for men, but Andrew Dickenson from Winsford has challenged himself in a different way to raise funds for St Luke’s.

“I’ve decided to take on the challenge to run 10K every day during the month of November for St Luke’s Hospice. I know a lot of families in the local area that have received brilliant care from the hospice and I think it’s important to help this continue in whatever way we can. Every single family that I have spoken to have said they wouldn’t of been able to cope without the help of the hospice and it gave their loved ones the best quality of life they could of hoped for during their final stages of life.

Please donate anything that you have spare.  I’ve not set an official target but after speaking to the hospice I have an idea of what makes a real difference.”

Thanks so much Andrew, we know that you’d like to try and get to £1,000. Andrew was inspired to raise money by a friend who died.

He is running routes between Winsford and Northwich and recording his runs on his own Facebook page.

  • Thanks to the Co-Op in Wharton, the Brighton Belle and McCormicks Sandwich Shop who have supported his efforts so far.
