Generous shoppers turned out to support St Luke’s Hospice when Luke (our Bentley bus packed with bargains) parked up at Crewe Harveys Furniture for the store’s fund-raising Grand Launch Weekend.

Luke the Bentley Bus, a big red double-decker, and a stall set up especially for the hospice at the store on Grand Junction Retail Park, sold designers clothes and other items on October 5 and 6 to raise much-needed funds.

Staff at the new-look concept store, which has recently re-opened its doors after an extensive and stylish refurbishment, supported St Luke’s even more by organising children’s games and helping with a grand raffle.

In addition to funds raised by the volunteers and staff, Harveys will be making donations based on sales of selected items over the weekend to the charity which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

 Manager Nicola Barnes said:

“Luke the Bentley Bus was a great feature for our Grand Launch Weekend and was doing a roaring trade. Shoppers certainly supported St Luke’s; their generosity will help to care for adults with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.”
